At The Learning Center, we place your child’s physical, emotional, and social well-being as a top priority and take extra steps to ensure that they feel safe and you feel confident in our ability to take care of them. Below, we share with you the safety and professional standards that we have maintained to provide the utmost care for every infant and toddler that comes to our learning center.

We Train Our Staff in CPR and First Aid

The State of Minnesota requires sudden unexpected infant death (SUID) and abusive head trauma (AHT) training for all licensed infant care professionals. A commissioner must facilitate the training, and it must be approved by the Minnesota Center for Professional Development. Our staff must train and retrain every two years.

Key Coded Entry at All Doors

All personnel is given access to the building via a key code that has to be used to unlock any door. If any person incorrectly inserts the wrong the keycode upon entering the building, an alarm will go off to notify security. Key codes are changed periodically to update security as needed. We only grant keycodes to staff within our building. We do not give them to parents or anyone else.

Computer Check In / Check Out

One of the most effective types of technology we utilize is computer software systems that keep track of all children who have checked in or checked out of the facility. In the morning when The Learning Lodge is opening, a child can only enter the learning area the parent have checked him or her into the system. This system assures us that your child is on the grounds. Modern systems will notify parents via text whenever a child has checked out of the building. It's an added security feature that we offer.

Frequent Safety Checks and Head Counts

Although technology is a great way to keep track of your child, we reinforce safety by manually checking the building and performing a routine head count to make sure all students are present. We never assume that your child is on the grounds. We also ensure that all doors, windows, and other access points are locked and secured from the inside. No one is allowed inside the building or on the property without our expressed permission.

Your Child is Safe at The Learning Center

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Therefore, we take measures to ensure their security while they’re in our care.
